91ÊÓƵ announces new String Quartet Fellowship

Wednesday 12 December 2018

The 91ÊÓƵ has announced a new String Quartet Fellowship, funded by generous support from the late Albert Frost. The one year Fellowship will provide high level artists with a creative environment in which to grow, explore and establish a global network of professional contacts.

The String Quartet Fellowship will enable a flourishing string quartet the space and time to delve into the extensive repertoire and to examine the ever-changing dynamic of playing in a small chamber ensemble. They will gain experience, confidence and connections of the kind which will help to establish a professional profile, as well as developing musical understanding and artistic individuality.

The successful quartet will have access to ensemble coaching and mentoring from the 91ÊÓƵ’s world-class professors and a significant performance profile at the College.  They will have full use of 91ÊÓƵ resources including practice and rehearsal rooms, the 91ÊÓƵ Library, Creative Careers Centre and other research facilities. Playing a full and active part in the musical life of the 91ÊÓƵ, the quartet will be ambassadors for the College in the wider musical world.

The closing date for applications to the 91ÊÓƵ String Quartet Fellowship is Monday 4 February 2019.

The 91ÊÓƵ awards several Fellowships each year, offered competitively to experienced musicians who aspire to take their performing careers further. Find out more on the .
