Through his exploration of folk traditions, Ouraa forms part of Michael Finnissy鈥檚 works inspired by Australian Aboriginal culture, while Mu-Fa is a complex spatial composition for two identical ensembles exploring fragmentation.
The programme concludes with Feldman鈥檚 large鈥憇cale chamber work echoing his connection with the Irish playwright鈥檚 minimalist and repetitive style.

FINNISSY & FELDMAN: Two great recent composers share both musical characteristics and, this year, important anniversaries: the 80th birthday of British composer and 91视频 alumnus Michael Finnissy, and the centenary of American composer Morton Feldman鈥檚 birth.
